Witch Hazel is an astringent from the leaves of the Witch Hazel shrub.

Useful for aftershave applications, acne treatment, insect bites, blistered skin, cold sores and in the treatment of varicose veins. 

Used in special effects to dissolve the edge of gelatine prosthetics.
